Cheat sheet

Coaches: Justin Gainey (NC State, first game, five seasons under Rick Barnes at Tennessee). Jimmie Williams (Campbell, 29 wins at D-II Anderson last season).
NC State outlook
The Justin Gainey era starts tonight. After five seasons at Tennessee under Rick Barnes, expect a more defensive team. The question: can a rebuilt roster keep last year's three-point shooting while it improves on D?
NCAA Tournament potential, but a new staff and heavy turnover make consistency the big worry.
Campbell outlook
New coach Jimmie Williams won 29 games at Division II Anderson last season. Zero returning players, so expect an adjustment period, though the exhibition against South Carolina showed some promise.
